Martin Siegal, Executive Chairman

Martin joined BrightLot in January 2007.  Prior to joining BrightLot, Martin spent 32 years at the Chrysler Corporation.  Among his numerous achievements and responsibilities at the company, Martin was the Western Regional Manager of Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, overseeing 950 dealerships in distribution, product allocation, marketing, incentive programs, corporate advertising, and new dealership launches for the region.  Prior to this, Martin held a variety of dealership oversight positions in New York, Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, St Louis, Los Angeles, Denver, and San Francisco.  Martin also launched the Guam market for Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, addressing pricing, positioning, incentive programs, dealer installation and training, personnel training, and facility construction.  Notably, earlier in his career, Martin was appointed by Lee Iacocca to coordinate the lobbying efforts of the Chrysler Corporation dealerships, employees, and union representatives to secure the Chrysler Corporation Government Loan Guarantee Bill.

 

Prior to Chrysler, Martin worked for the General Motors Acceptance Corporation.  His responsibilities included new vehicle inventory reconciliation at dealerships.

 

Martin graduated from Morris Harvey College, now University of Charleston, with degrees in Marketing and Industrial Psychology.

 


 

Sachin Chaudhry, Founder and Co-CEO

Sachin founded BrightLot in January 2006. He has extensive experience in product management and marketing, consulting numerous Internet, software and media startups over the past 12 years.  Most recently, he led the sales and marketing activities for a leading software company in the automobile and logistics industries.

 

Sachin previously co-founded and served as COO of Student Online, an enterprise software company for higher education institutions, where he raised $5MM, managed 45 employees, and helped earn 28 enterprise customers. The company was later acquired by a leading student Internet portal. Sachin was also an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in the Technology group and Talmage Capital, a merchant bank based in Connecticut.

 

Sachin graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS Economics, with concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance.

 


 

Gaurav Chowdhary, Founder and Co-CEO

Gaurav founded BrightLot in January 2006. He previously served as Director of Business Development in the Corporate Development group at IAC, a $3 billion-dollar Internet conglomerate. Previously, he served as Director of Business Development at MeMedia, a leader in software-based behavioral media and advertising. At MeMedia, he managed distribution partners generating over $24MM in annual revenue.

 

Prior to MeMedia, Mr. Chowdhary founded HyperLevel, which developed and licensed a patent-pending tournament engine for interactive games. He served as VP of Product Development and worked in conjunction with AppLabs, a Sequoia Capital portfolio company and a leading CMM Level 5 software developer based in Hyderabad, India.  Prior to HyperLevel, Gaurav founded and served as VP of Product Development of Student Online, where he led all software development teams. He also was instrumental in establishing technology and joint marketing partnerships with Oracle and SprintPCS.

 

Gaurav graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Computer Science, as an Alfred Ogden Scholar and a King's Crown Gold Leader.

 


 

Howard Williamson, VP Embedded Technology

Howard joined BrightLot in February 2007.  He has a wide range of experience with hardware and embedded systems development, from the test and calibration of circuits, digital circuit design, PCB layout and fabrication, to building embedded systems on a variety of micro-controller platforms and integrating these with desktop applications and web services.

 

At Space Exploration Technologies, Howard developed a hardware simulation system allowing a full avionics suite to operate on a virtual vehicle for unit testing and integrated systems simulation of the Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft, supporting development and launch operations.  Dragon is the first privately developed spacecraft to achieve orbit and return successfully to Earth.  At Chambers Electronics in the UK, Howard helped develop several data logger solutions.

 

Howard graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in Computation Science.

 

 


 

Himanshu Sharma, VP  Internet Technology

Himanshu joined BrightLot in May 2009.  He has extensive experience in Internet software development, working as a systems analyst, lead developer, software architect, and manager.

 

He has previously worked with Vodafone, Hindustan Times, and Citibank.  Specifically with Citibank, Himanshu managed his organization’s hardware and software resources to meet Citibank’s strict security standards for keeping, organizing, transmitting and purging its customer information database.

 

Himanshu graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in Industrial Chemistry and from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University with an MBA in Information Technology.
